To open the fuel filler flap Closing the fuel filler flap

Replace the cap on the filler neck and turn
clockwise until it engages audibly.

Close the fuel filler flap.

Close the fuel filler flap before locking the
vehicle. Otherwise, the locking pin of the
central locking prevents the fuel filler flap
from closing.

If you are driving with the fuel filler cap
open, the 8 reserve fuel warning lamp
flashes. Am essage appears in the
: To open the fuel fille rf lap
multifunction display (Y page 262).

lamp may light up (Y page 282).

Switch the engine off. indicator lamps in the instrument cluster,

Remove the SmartKey from the ignition
lock.

KEYLESS-GO: open the driver’s door.
This corresponds to key position 0: "key
removed".
The driver’s door can be closed again.

Press the fuel filler flap in the direction of
arrow :.
The fuel filler flap opens slightly.
X
Open the fuel filler flap fully.
X
Turn the fuel filler flap counter-clockwise
and remove it.
X
Insert the fuel filler cap into the holder
bracket on the inside of filler flap ;.
X
Completely insert the filler neckoft he fuel
pump nozzle into the tank, hook in place
and refuel.
X
Only fill the tank until the pump nozzle
switches off.
i
Do not add any more fuel after the pump
stops filling for the first time. Otherwise,
fuel may leak out.
