Underinflationalsoreducesfuelefficiencyandtiretreadlife,andmayaffectthevehicle’s handlingandstoppingability.PleasenotethattheTPMSisnotasubstituteforpropertire maintenance, and it is the driver’s responsibility to maintain correct tire pressure, even if underinflation has not reached the level to trigger illumination of the TPMS low tire pressure telltale. YourvehiclehasalsobeenequippedwithaTPMSmalfunctionindicatortoindicatewhenthe systemisnotoperatingproperly.TheTPMSmalfunctionindicatoriscombinedwiththelow tire pressure telltale.
