Towing a vehicle with
automatic transmission: special
points A
Engine switched off:the
transmissionis no longer
lubricated. It is preferable to tow
this type of vehicle on a trailer or
tow it with the front wheels off theB
ground.
Exceptional circumstances
You may tow the vehicle with all
four wheelsonthegroundusingthe
towing point under the following
conditions:Maximum speed C
25 mph (40 km/h) for a maximum
distance of 30 miles (50 km). The selector lever must be in
neutral (position N).
If the lever becomes jammed in P
position,even though you are
pressing down the brake pedal, the
lever can be released manually. To
do this, unclip cover B.Presson
both the raised part C and the
unlockingbutton Aatthesametime
to move the lever from position P.
