Setting the Tone (Bass/Treble) Radio with CD BASS: Slide this lever up or down to increase or to decrease bass. TREB(Treble): Slide this lever up or down to increase or to decrease treble. If a station is weak or noisy, decrease the treble. Adjusting the Speakers (Balance/Fade) BAL(Balance): Turn the control ring behind the upper knob to move the sound toward the left or the right speakers. FADE: Turn the control ring behind the lower knob toPlaying the Radio move the sound toward the front or the rear speakers. PWR(Power): Press this knob to turn the system onandoff. VOL(Volume): Turn this knob to increase or to decrease the volume. The knob is capable of rotating continuously. RECALL: Pressthisbuttontoswitchthedisplay betweentheradiostationfrequencyandthetime.When the ignition is off, press this button to display the time. SCV(Speed-Compensated Volume): With SCV, the audio system adjusts automatically to make up for road and wind noise as you drive. 3-42
