2-2. Instrument cluster ■Outside temperature display ●The temperature display shows temperatures within the range of -40 °F (-40°C) and 122°F (50°C). ●In the following situations, the correct outside temperature may not be dis- played, or the display may take longer than normal to change: • When the vehicle is stopped, or moving at low speeds (less than 15 mph [25 km/h]) • When the outside temperature has changed suddenly (at the entrance/exit of a garage, tunnel, etc.) ●When “--” or “E” is displayed, the system may be malfunctioning. Take your vehi- cle to your Lexus dealer. NOTICE ■To prevent damage to the engine and its components ●Do not let the indicator needle of the tachometer enter the red zone. ●The following may indicate that the engine is overheating. Immediately stop the vehicle in a safe place. • The display on the engine coolant temperature gauge flashes. (→P. 351) • The display on the engine oil temperature gauge flashes. ( →P. 313) ●In the following situations, the engine may be malfunctioning. Immediately stop the vehicle in a safe place and contact your Lexus dealer. • The oil pressure gauge display does not show an increase even if the acceler- ator pedal is depressed. • The “Engine oil pressure low” warning message is displayed. 120 LFA_U
