Each section of the rear seat bench and backrest can be folded down individually to increase luggage space. Folding the rear seat and backrest forward x Remove the head restraint(s) from the seat backrests that you wat nto fold down and place them in the footwell behind the driver or front passenger seats ⇒ . fig. 96 A (1). x Pull the strap and lift the seat cushion by its front edge⇒  x Fold the seat cushion forwardA , (2). x Pull the release button forward⇒  fig. 97 A, (1). You can't fold the seat backrest down until the red marking on button A, (2) is visible. Folding the rear seat and backrest back up x Fold the backrest up until it locks securely into place. The red indicator on buttonA , (2) should no longer be visible. x The rear seat backrest must be securely latched into place for the safety belts on the rear seats to provide optimal protection. x Fold the seat cushion back into place. Make sure that all safety belt latches are accessible⇒  .
