Wipers and Washers
Rain sensor variable delay Speed-dependent mode
Caution: BEFORE entering an automatic car When speed dependent m ode is configured, the

will switch to the next lowest operating speed.

8 km/h (5 mph), the original wiper speed
setting is restored automatically.
This setting can be co nfigured by a Land
Rover Dealer.

The rain sensor is fitted to the inside of the
windshield, immediately ahead of the rear view
mirror. The sensor is able to detect varying
amounts of dirt or water on the outside of the
windshield.
With the wiper switch in position 1, the variable
delay automatically adjusts the frequency of the
wiper operation according to the information
supplied by the rain sensor.
You can increase (a wipe will occur
immediately) or decrease the sensitivity of the
rain sensor, and therefore the frequency of
wiper operation, by rotating the delay switch-
either clockwise or counter-clockwise.
If the sensor detects constant rain, the wipers
will operate continuously.
