The THEFT indicator in the instrument panel will light continuously while the system is prearmed. The 30 second countdown allows people who may still be in the vehicle time to exit without triggering the alarm. The THEFT indicator will glow steadily until the system is armed. When the system is armed, the THEFT indicator will begin to flash with short flashes every 2 seconds until the system is triggered or disarmed.
